Coming to The Boro is a curated mix of residential, office, and retail space. At full build-out, this development will total approximately 4 million square feet. In the initial phase alone, approximately 700 luxury units across four buildings, as well as an inspiring selection of shops and culinary attractions, will join the vibrant, ever-changing landscape of Tysons.
Boro Tower, a Gensler-designed office building, and a luxury, 15-screen ShowPlace ICON Theatre will overlook the expansive Boro Park equipped with outdoor seating, kid-friendly splash pads, and visual art, for amenities inside and out. Joining the arrivals will be a 70,000-square-foot flagship Whole Foods Market, the largest in the DC area.
Tegna is moving its headquarters and the company will lease the top floors of Boro Tower – approximately 46,205 of the building’s 440,000 square feet. The anchor tenant is comprised of a dynamic portfolio of media and digital businesses, including 46 television stations, and G/O Digital. Featuring 9 to 10-foot ceiling heights, an expansive rooftop terrace and panoramic views from the Blue Ridge Mountains to downtown Washington, the Gensler-designed Boro Tower will welcome Tegna as its first pre-lease. The move bolsters an already stellar roster of anchor tenants at The Boro, including Whole Foods Market and ShowPlace ICON Theatre.
The Boro’s dramatic first phase will deliver nearly 700 residential units, 223,000 square feet of destination retail and Tegna’s new home in Tysons’ premier trophy office tower. At full build-out, The Boro will consist of more than 1,500 residential units, 1.8 million square feet of office, 316,000 square feet of retail, and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.
